N.B. This time we are meeting in the EVENING! This is a brave undertaking with little people involved and i'm aware it's dinner time for most of them! So come for as long as works for you and your little one and i'm suggesting that we all bring some form of vegetarian finger food to share. I will provide tea and fruit as usual and something savoury instead of biscuits. It will be a great experiment!!

This is a gathering with little formal structure. Arrive when you can, leave when you need to. There will be hot tea and a hug awaiting you. We will sing a few simple songs, accompanied by the soothing sound of the harmonium. These are songs i've collected from various different people and cultures around the world, with few words and simple repetitive tunes. There will be time and space to simply chat and get to know other mothers, babies, people... Where possible I will lead us in brief moments of stillness, taking time to appreciate and take in the fullness of the present moment - life can too easily pass us by!

The event is primarily aimed at creating and supporting community for mothers and their small children, however everyone is truly welcome - partners, older children, pregnant women, grandparents, friends of any age. The richest communities are those that embrace diversity, and I have witnessed many times how the interaction of generations nourishes everyone - far more than just another 'mum and baby group'. So please do invite along anyone you know who would love to come and hang out with some babies and mothers, it's easy to forget how much that is craved by those who don't have it in their daily lives!
