Welcome to this brand new Antenatal Course! Designed with both Mother and Birthing Partners in mind, this course aims to support you to make the decisions that are right for you and your family. As a Mother of 3, a Birth Doula, and someone who has been running courses for Pregnant & Postpartum women for 5 years in Bangor, I have seen, heard and learned a lot about birth in this time. I feel strongly that birth can be an empowering and emboldening experience for both mother and partner and my wish is that this course helps you towards that end. The course is suitable for both first time parents as well as more seasoned parents! Your stories, experiences and learnings will be welcome.

Held in the beautiful upstairs room at Cafe Melyn in Llanberis, the group will be held in a relaxed space and you can have full access to the beautiful range of teas, coffees and treats from the cafe (not included in the ticket price). This will be a gently interactive course, I invite you to take an active role in your labour and birth preparations!

Week 2: Feb 10th - Waiting for Labour: 'Natural' and Medical Induction, Pros & Cons

Week 3: March 2nd - Physiology of Labour... and Pain!

Week 4: March 9th - Place of Birth: Home or Hospital

Week 5: March 16th - Role of the Birth Partner

Week 6: March 23rd - The Golden Hour

Week 7: March 30th - First 40 Days - Rest & Recovery

Week 8: April 6th - Feeding Baby & Normal Newborn Behaviour
